I started Muffet Designs in 2017 with a passion for creating organized, functional, and beautiful spaces. Since then, I’ve become a certified professional organizer, general contractor, and project manager, taking on everything from downsizing and bathroom renovations to full-home remodels.

In August 2024, I took on my biggest project yet: an abandoned house that had sat untouched for 15 years. With the help of my amazing team, including my daughter, Kylee, I brought together everything I do as a contractor, designer, and organizer under one roof (pun intended!).

We documented the renovation in the blog below to share the challenges and surprises that come with transforming an old home, show the value of having experienced professionals in your corner, and offer useful ideas along the way. Whether you love old Pittsburgh houses, are considering a renovation, or simply enjoy a great before-and-after, we hope you find some helpful inspiration.
